Lapse

Today’s image came from me wanting to learn how to light a translucent subject, paired with a bit of pre-planned luck. I knew I’d need to release the droplet and trigger the shutter at just the right time—and that perfect synchronization wasn’t going to happen without a more controlled studio setup with flashes, syncs, and remote triggers. So instead, I ran the camera on a ten second timer, set it to take three frames after the countdown, and kept dropping water until one droplet hit the right spot at just the right moment.
