Rooted

On my walk into work, I noticed how the light was being diffused through these low-hanging clouds, bathing the landscape in a soft, dreamlike glow. Normally, I would have ran straight into the office, fleeing the bitter cold of another midwest winter morning. Today, however, I stopped for about 10 minutes noticing and capturing until my fingers were frozen and unresponsive.

The resulting image marked a profoundly meaningful moment as this 365 project fulfilled its purpose: I chose to remain present and attentive in a place I might have otherwise passed through without a second thought.
