Thawing

A robin perched in a bush dotted with red berries. I was on a sunset walk when I shot this. All around me was the sound of melting snow and birdsong drifting through the warm air.

I’ve been looking forward to the snow melting for weeks, but now that it's happening, I feel kind of sad in a way. Winter will persist for weeks to come, but without the snow cover, we lose the beauty that I find makes winter bearable.
